Peter M. Wolff
Managing Partner
Attorney Peter Wolff brings over 23 years of legal experience to every case he handles. His diverse background in criminal and family law—combined with deep local knowledge—makes him a powerful advocate for clients in Waukesha County.
Peter is widely respected by local judges and prosecutors and has built a reputation for achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients. His practice focuses on criminal defense and family law, and he is regularly appointed by Circuit Court Judges to handle criminal, family, and juvenile matters. He has also served as Supplemental Court Commissioner for the Honorable Mark Gundrum.
Before becoming an attorney, Peter spent 10 years as a law enforcement officer with the City of Brookfield Police Department. He served as a DARE instructor, trained officers in OWI procedures and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, and worked undercover as a Detective with the Waukesha County Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Unit. This unique experience gives him an insider’s understanding of how cases are investigated and prosecuted—an advantage few attorneys can offer.
Peter earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School.
Deeply rooted in the community, Peter has served as a Waukesha County Board Supervisor, Chair of the Judiciary and Law Enforcement Committee, and Chair of Health and Human Services. He remains actively involved in local organizations and community leadership.
A lifelong resident of Waukesha County, Peter Wolff is committed to protecting the rights, freedom, and future of the people he serves. Peter grew up in the City of Brookfield and graduated from Brookfield East High School in 1986. His father was a Police Chief for 28 years, then he served eight years as an Alderman. His mother was a Waukesha County Supervisor for 28 years. Peter has two sisters and three brothers. He still resides in the Town of Delafield with his wife and two daughters.
